Issue 8: Happy Easter

Wow preparing for Easter already, where has the year gone? Terra Viva Café would like to wish all our customers and the community a happy Easter. We will be closed on Good Friday 14th April 2017 and Easter Sunday 16th April 2017. We will be open as normal on Saturday 15th April 2017 and on Easter Monday 17th April 2017 café will be open as normal, there will be a surcharge. Anzac Day 25th April 2017 café will be open as normal, but we will not be serving alcohol or retail products until after 1pm, there will be a surcharge.

 

Terra Viva Café are running coffee for a can promotion to proudly support Aviva Families. From 3pm-4.30pm every WEDNESDAY until the 26th April 2017. Bring in a can of food and swap it for a regular sized coffee. Aviva is an organization that helps individuals and families stay free from violence. They work with children, women and men giving each person the support they need, when they need it, to live free of family violence.

 

 

With autumn creeping up I have some yummy coffee and tea specials coming. Dani our head barista has been busy coming up with new ideas, we have our gingerbread latte, apple, pear and lemon balm tea, licorice anise tea and hot cinnamon spice tea. These are delicious and perfect with a yummy slice or patisserie.

 

 

Terra Viva Café is currently revamping our high tea, drinks, lunch and brunch menu. We are all excited to see what changes are being made, stay tuned for the new launch in 3 weeks. Next door in the garden centre they have a couple exciting events happening, early April date yet to be confirmed is our lawn workshops are always popular (over 100 people for the spring workshop) and this one will be about prepping your lawn for winter after a hot dry summer that takes its toll on lawns. Saturday 1st April 2017 and Sunday 2nd April 2017 is an informative workshop run by Dave Adams from Canterbury Horticultural Society! 
We will have all the information on how to look after bulbs in the garden, how to plant and when. You also get to make your own layered bulb planer to take home with you - filled with 32 spring bulbs ready to bloom in few months. You can buy tickets to this from Canterbury Horticultural Society. Saturday 29th April 2017 and Sunday 30th April 2017 is the autumn garden show presented by Canterbury Horticultural Society & Christchurch City Council proudly sponsored by Terra Viva Home & Garden at the Botanical Gardens. Specialist horticultural clubs, CHS circles and societies will create garden designs and displays in the garden galore marquee and the Ilex Room.
